Limelight To Oversee Grand Prix’s Online Content, NZ Confirm Participation

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 28,2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Grand Prix Entertainment, the multimedia production and distribution company that owns and manages sports, entertainment and gaming intellectual properties, today announced that Limelight Networks, a global leader in online repuration management will head up the implementation of the Grand Prix Studios Network, aiming to show the Grand Prix Rugby Sevens Championship both online and in real time.

With a commitment to providing world-class entertainment both on the field and off it, GPSN and its partner USA Rugby, will showcase the 2013 Grand Prix Rugby Sevens Championship. This will be the world’s richest Sevens Championship in history, with 24 World Cup standard international teams on the roster, including New Zealand, England, Australia, South Africa, China, India, Russia and the United States. These world class teams will then play 60 games over three days for a world record first prize of $1,000,000.

The event will be held July 14-16, 2013, at the AEG Home Depot Center in the Los Angeles with live broadcast on the NFL Network.
