Welcome to Rugby America! This website/blog was published in an effort to raise the awareness and profile of the sport of rugby in the United States. As one of the fastest growing sports in America, rugby is sorely lacking the media exposure of the other major sports. Here at Rugby America, we will bring you rugby news from around America, unique editorials on the state of the game, features from all levels of rugby in America, and views of international rugby from an American perspective.
Since it’s beginning in 2008, thousands and thousands of rugby fans have visited and hopefully enjoyed the content and articles. Rugby America has taken on multiple looks in the two and a half years on the internet. From a simple blog type setup to a full blown interactive website, and now back to somewhere in between. The content begs for so much more than a simple blog, but time constraints, level and quality of content available, demand, and lack of funding limits the nature of the site. A blistering eight months as a full-on rugby website can attest to that. Finding a happy medium, Rugby America will continue on in this form until the market demands more.
If you have any news that you would like to submit, please send it to rugbyamerica1@gmail.com . We accept news from any level of rugby in the USA.
Thank you for visiting Rugby America. I truly hope that you enjoy it and come back often. You can bookmark the site or simply subscribe to the site to receive notices when new content is published.

I am very excited to see a growing comprehensive site in regards to Rugby in the USA! I would love to see the sport continue to grow (and believe it will – Setanta Sports is now available on cable instead of only dish) and it is efforts like yours to push progress ahead.
I do have one question…The title of Rugby America would infer that this site is for all of the Americas, is this true? Reading what has been posted would seem the title should be Rugby USA. I make this comment because the rest of the Americas (All of South, Canada, Mexico) are going to see the title and may feel slighted when coverage is not intended towards them, but the USA only.
Just a suggestion – I will be back to visit often!
GOOD LUCK!
